Sunday 2 October                                Walk                                          Albany

Starting at Gills road we walk beside Lucas Creek past the waterfall, cross the Dairy Flat highway and into Kell Park. Through the park to the Old Albany Highway, which we cross, and then into the Totara Forest walk beside Oteha Stream, then across Bush Road into Bushlands Reserve where we will have lunch before returning on a different track. Time approx 3 hours walking.

Tuesday 4 October                      Dog Walk                           Northcote Point

Everyone welcome with or without a dog. Join us for an easy flat walk, approximately one hour, along to the point, through the park, then underneath the Harbour Bridge, then back for coffee.

Thursday 6 October                     Tramp                                             Whatipu

Tramp from Whatipu beach over recently upgraded track to Pararaha Valley and then along beach back to cars. Approx 5-6 hours.

Saturday 8 October                        Walk                                         Glen Innes

A loop walk through Tahuna Torea Reserve upper and lower tracks. Return from Tahaki Road entrance to have lunch and coffee (optional) at Roberta Reserve. Parking and toilet available.  Bus 783 stops just by this park. Trip duration 2½ hours if having lunch at the park.                    Please phone organiser if you want to attend.

Join me for a 2 hour walk plus lunch around the Mt Roskill area.

Sunday 16 October                          Hard Grade Tramp               Hapuakohe

Join me for a 6 hour tramp through the middle section of the Hapuakohe Range, stunning views at the top make it all so worthwhile. Approx 1.5 hrs. drive south from meeting place to start point.

A free talk by Phil on the action-packed & rather scandalous life of Dove Myer Robinson & his greatest achievement- our amazing sewage treatment plant on the Manukau. After the talk Onehunga Community House is running a Devonshire Afternoon Tea (cost $15)

3-4 hour tramp through forest, a mixture of forest roads and bike trail.

Wednesday 26 October                        Easy Walk                  Half Moon Bay

Leave city on 9.15 ferry to Half Moon Bay (Check October timetable), or come by car. Walk to Musick Point and return for 3.15 ferry or bus to Panmure Station via the new bus only highway.

Sunday 30 October                               Walk                                    Green Bay

We will walk to the end of Portage Road to Green Bay Reserve then on to Blockhouse Bay Beach & Reserve. We will be walking mainly on bush tracks with intermittent steps which can be rough.  Also some road walking. Sturdy shoes & poles advisable. Call me if you have any queries. Allow 3 hours and there is the possibility of coffee at Bolton Street Cafe.
